15. Lessons Learned: Building a Non-profit as a Single Mom
Building a non-profit organization from the ground up is no easy task; it takes dedication, perseverance, and not taking 'no' for an answer.
This week, my guest Doina Oncel shares how she built her non-profit organization 'hEr VOLUTION' 9 years ago - an organization focused on helping underserved girls get into the field of STEM.
Doina shares her story of immigrating to Canada at age 19 as an at-risk youth and how she reinvented herself many times before pursuing her true purpose. She shares the trials and tribulations of starting a non-profit as a single mom and tips for our listeners who are thinking about the not-for-profit world.
